History: The history of Florenza began in 1948 when the Dan Kassoff Company produced the jewelry line in New York.  Prior to starting the company, Kassoff was first introduced to jewelry while working at the Speier Costume Jewelry Company.  Apparently while dining, Kassoff met legendary businessman Mr. Speier when Kassoff’s coat was stolen and Speier offered him money to replace the stolen coat.  When Kassoff promptly paid Speier back, Speier offered him a job to work for his jewelry company.   Kassoff had such an eye for exquisite craftsmanship, the company grew and soon he was oversaw all of the designs and continued to design for himself.  In 1939, Kassoff started the Dan Kassoff Company and then in 1948 began operating under the name Florenza.
